Cincinnati market

The Cincinnati market — and how we finance it.

Cincinnati combines a substantial corporate headquarters presence with a distinctive housing stock of Italianate and Victorian buildings, particularly in Over-the-Rhine, which has seen sustained reinvestment. Hillside topography and older construction both factor into appraisals more here than in a flatter, newer market.

Corporate professionals, first-time buyers, renovators in the historic neighborhoods, and investors working the multi-unit stock.

FAQ

Cincinnati mortgage questions.

Is financing a historic Over-the-Rhine building different?

It can be. Condition, prior renovation quality, and sometimes historic-district requirements all get scrutiny. We flag those early rather than letting them surface during appraisal review.

Do you finance two-to-four-unit properties?

Yes. Cincinnati has a lot of that stock. If you live in one unit you may qualify for owner-occupied terms on the entire building, which is typically the cheapest entry into investing.
